I am originally from the United States but have been living in Guangzhou, China teaching English at a university. I love learning about different countries and getting off the beaten path when I travel. I have traveled in Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Morocco, Cambodia, and several other countries. I speak Spanish and am trying to learn some Chinese. I also taught English in South Korea and loved living I Seoul! When traveling I love to see historical sights, meet new people and try different kinds of food.

I love to meet different people and get away from some of the bigger tourist places when I travel. I like to meet people from the area I travel in to learn about their life and what they think about the place they live and what is their daily routine like. I have done several home-stays in other countries and I always have the best time when I meet people who live in the country instead of staying in a hotel with foreigners.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Spent a week in the Amazon in Ecuador. We went hiking a lot but the best was the night hikes! We would stand in the middle of the Amazon and turn our flashlights off and listen to the noise of the Amazon around us. It was amazing and one of my top experiences!

I am excited to learn about Chinese life and culture. I love to learn about people's experiences, where they have traveled and their opinions about the country they live in. Special learning interests of mine include cooking local food, making traditional crafts and dance. I can share my own experiences and would be happy to go see some sights together.
