I'm 26 years old and I recently transported to Portland, OR after living in Alabama for 20 years of my life. I grew up on the coast of Alabama and then attended The University of Alabama for my bachelor's and master's in science. I currently work at an antique store where I get to see and learn about many amazing things every day. I am really enjoying the job and it allows me to spend time doing other things I love, like absorbing all of what Portland has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm brand new to couchsurfing! But I'm taking a trip to Germany and Iceland at the end of the month with my wonderful boyfriend Michael, and would love to stay with the locals in Iceland. It's the only country I've visited before so I am very excited to go back!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a wide range of music, but mostly oldies from the 60s and 70s. As for movies, anything by Wes Anderson or Darron Aronofsky. I really don't have favorite book, but I guess that's just because I haven't read it yet. I read a lot of scientific articles and I like most all of those.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a teaching assistant for a physical geography class, so I can definitely teach you that (that's a joke, unless you do in fact have a desire to learn that). But I do love teaching and sharing any knowledge I have of the scientific world and that's what I enjoy learning about too. Most currently, I am enjoying learning more and more about space.
