About Me

I'm just a girl who thinks there is much to learn about life and the best way to do that is travel, meet others, learn about their culture and way of life, and hopefully make the world a better place through being open-minded and tolerant of differences.

Oh, and I have Celiac Disease which can make travel quite inconvenient, but I won't let that stop me! If you are at all familiar with the topic or have suggestions on where to find/how to eat gluten free while traveling I'd love to hear what you have to say.

What is gluten: https://celiac.org/live-gluten-free/glutenfreediet/what-is-gluten/
Gluten-Free Restuarant cards: https://celiac.org/live-gluten-free/glutenfreediet/what-is-gluten/
Be aware I'm told the cards don't always translate well for all languages. For example, when using the Chinese and Japanese cards they usually refuse to feed me anything, but in Vietnam they just pointed to different things I could eat. I prefer and recommend finding a local that can speak both languages and explaining it to them in simpler terms so they can help you. I use the cards as my fall back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to traveling, meeting new people, and growing from my experiences. Couchsurfing makes traveling and exploring even locally an adventure. You never know who you are going to meet and the life experience and perspectives they have to share.

I also find traveling alone a bit lonely. Couchsurfing makes me feel less away from home and on my own and more like I'm part of a giant internationally family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Varies greatly depending on my mood and the situation. I like anything from the Riverdance to Rag'n'Bone Man to Disturbed.
Movies: I like movies with a good storylines preferably action, adventure, conspiracy, comedy, and romantic comedies.
Books: I don't read as much as I once did, but when I do read it usually personal development stuff like psychology or communication and business and alternative medicine that kind of stuff. If you are interested in any of that I definitely have some books to recommend you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got on a plane and moved halfway around the world to a country I'd never visited, hardly knew anything about, and didn't speak the language.

I believe even better things are yet to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do my best to teach English and I'm always happy to share my views on life :) and curios to learn about others.

Down to share what I can of gluten-free eating in the kitchen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship, kindness, curiosity, and an open mind. If you have a kitchen maybe I can cook or bake something for you. I also don't mind helping with housework.
