About Me

I live in Colorado and recently graduated from university studying biology. I really enjoy school and want to go back, possibly to medical school or graduate school to study immunology. Before that, though, I wanted to take a year off to get some traveling done. And so I am here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up I've always wanted to travel outside of the U.S. to explore and expand. I suppose I was somewhat scared to go out and do that, to see the cultural differences that may shake the moral foundation I was raised with. The fact that it scared me only strengthened my desire to do it, and now, post-graduation, I finally have the opportunity to do so. I want to broaden my scope while abroad and get a true grasp of the culture I'm in, rather than travel like a tourist. I feel like Couchsurfing will further immerse me with locals and help open my eyes more than staying at a hotel would.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music: Can one truly narrow down to one supreme genre? My music taste varies from Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles to Hozier, Childish Gambino, Chris Stapleton, Dermot Kennedy, etc. My favorite artist would have to be Banks, and my favorite band would probably include Bastille.

Movies: I don't really watch that many movies....Fargo and What We Do in the Shadows would be in the top 5. My guilty pleasure would have to be scary movies, as cheesy as they may be.

Books: Most of my reading content has included scientific articles and textbooks (due to school). Just now getting to the enjoyable, leisurely reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in and conducted some research in a honey bee lab while I was in school. I can handle bees and open up hives without any protective wear and not get stung. Impressive?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany

Countries I’ve Lived In
