I love meeting new cultures and new people. When I was younger I participated in a language camp in England and an international youth camp with Lions International at Cyprus. When I was in high school I spend a year abroad in Chillán, Chile as a part of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. Last summer I participated in an IPP (International People's Program) with CISV in Italy working with the local association "Libera" which fights against the Mafia and crimes in Italy. This fall I will do a semester abroad in at Akita International University in Japan.

I study in the city of Aalborg in northern Denmark where I have just finished my 3rd semester of the bachelor "Language and International Studies, English". This is an interdisciplinary study, which includes lots of different aspects such as international relations, modern world history, academic English skills and a lot of other exciting courses. I have classmates and professors from all over the world so it really has that international environment that I love.

I work at at local, traditional restaurant down town, so many of my nights on weekends I will be spending working. I also work for the department of PR and communication at the School of Engineering and Science at Aalborg university. However, this is a job that I can almost entirely do from home whenever I want to.

This summer my awesome boyfriend Christian moved in with me. We've been together for 3 years and he's like my best friend so it's been :) ! However, this means that my small apartment will become even smaller, so until we find something bigger I'm not sure how many surfers we can host.

I like the idea of being open to new people. I in my travels I have met very helpful locals and it always leaves a great impression of the country. I would like to pass this experience on so that you may learn about Denmark from a local and experience something memorable :)

Intereses

Apart from the fact that I (obviously) love to travel, I spend my spare time with friends, in the gym or simply relaxing with a good movie or book. However, I am also part of the Aalborg Rotaract Club, working as secretary elect in the committee. Rotaract gives me the opportunity to meet new people from all of Denmark and the rest of the world, to grow as a person and to do volunteer work and collections for the local community and people in need in other countries.

Música, películas y libros

I don't have any specific genre of music that I like, it depends a lot of the mood I am in and it's a mix of Danish, Latinamerican and English music. However I can mention some of my favourite artists: Jarabe de Palo, Nephew, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Calle13, Esperanza Spalding, Outlandish, MØ, Sam Smith, The Beatles, Coldplay, Camila, Bon Iver, Mads Langer, Katie Malua, Norah Jones, Flødeklinikken.

My boyfriend always complaints that I don't no a thing about actors and movies and he is absolutely right. This just means that I havn't seen that many movies. The good thing is that it is very easy to show me a "new" and exciting movie hehe.
