About Me

I am currently a graduate student studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics in Pasadena. I grew up in Guangzhou, China, attended an American international school there, then moved to Boston for college. I enjoy music and dancing, and food food food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about it through one of my best friends who loves Couchsurfing. I decided to finally be more active, as I am planning to travel to Europe in the near future. I love traveling, but hate doing it the tourist's way. I want to really get to experience the city as the locals do, and thought Couchsurfing would be a great way to do this, and also reciprocate in case people want to really get to know LA from someone who lives here.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a horseback-riding trip with the locals on the edge of the Himalayas my sophomore year in high school. On our last night up the trail, we camped out and I lay down to see the sky covered with stars. I'm not even an outdoorsy person, and that blew me away. I still remember it so vividly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The (sort of) locals' guide to the city: best restaurants to try, great spots to check out in this vast, sprawling urban craze called LA, bars with great cocktails, great spots for dancing, and dive bars... I have a large one bedroom apartment in a quite suburb, 15-20 minutes from downtown LA.

Countries I’ve Visited
