Overview
About Me
My name is Amanda Pereira, I am just a vegetarian girl in her mid-20s, seeking for inner and other discovery, trying to figure out life through traveling and enjoying morning walks to get some fresh baked goods (I'm obsessed with pastries)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A brazilian friend introduced me to Couchsurfing a few months ago. She’s been hosting guests and staying in others’ houses for a lil while now and I get so stocked with all her stories. I haven’t had a couchsurfing experience myself. Although, I’ve been living with an American host family in San Francisco for the last 20
months. Staying with people who live a completely different lifestyle than yours is such an enriching experience. It makes you question your own choices and leads you to understand that not a lot of things are either good or bad, right or wrong: it’s just a matter of perspective. Can’t wait to have my first experience as a couchsurfer! I'm forward to build up meaningful connections across cultures, learn from it and grow as a human being. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
All of Quentin Tarantino's movies
Pretty much every music genre but punk. Indie and pop are on my daily playlist. Currently hooked on Florence and The Machine, Bishop Briggs, Kanye West and Beyonce.
Teach, Learn, Share
My mom cooks and bakes like a badass. I, on the other hand, can only make salad. Good ones, though. All right, I can also prepare some pretty decent Brazilian dishes. I would gladly cook and introduce Brazilian food for my hosts and guests.
If you're interested in language exchange, I'm down to teach ya a lil bit of Portuguese! Será um prazer - It'll be my pleasure :)
Like dancing? How about learning some basic (very basic) salsa steps?
