Overview
About Me
I am a returning student at Queensborough Community College and live with my parents in Queens, NY. I also grew up here. My parents are from Brazil and we speak the equivalent of Spanglish except it's Portuguese and English. This spring I interned to promote higher education affordability and accessibility, and participated in a fellowship on exploring and undoing bias. My intention is to get a masters in social work and use it to do some good for others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've found sharing living spaces while traveling to be meaningful.
Interests
Dancing, yoga, walks, meditation, vegetables/leafy greens and working out my writing muscles. I recently started attending poetry workshops and writers accountability meetups, and will be taking a creative writing class this summer. Here's to facing our fears and dancing with them!
