About Me

Hello! My name is Amanda. I'm a laid back, chill type of person and I'd like to think of myself as an open minded individual. I can be very talkative or keep to myself, whichever you prefer, I respect your space.
I consider myself a student of art and spend much of my time sketching and painting. Besides sketching, I spend a lot of time educating myself in personal training and fitness.

A few others things I enjoy are reading, hiking, cooking, finding delicious places to eat, and drinking coffee.
What I don't enjoy is heavily drinking alcohol (once and awhile I'll enjoy a drink) and people who don't pick up after themselves and leave pee on toilet seats.

***I am currently traveling with my friend, Susanne. She's from Germany. She doesn't drink alcohol and non-smoker (both of us), but by all means, do as you please! Don't let the fact that we don't drink or smoke make you think we aren't the social types. :)
We definitely do enjoy getting to know people and spending time with everyone. But we like go out on our own as well!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet new people and travel the world which is exactly what I dream of doing (alongside with continuing my education in art). I hope to make many friends along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is very eclectic, so it's a wide variety.

In general my favorite movies are usually Disney/Pixar, comedies, or dramas.

Books? I love books. My all time favorites are "The Name of the Wind", "The Alchemist" and "The Glass Castle". But I have read quite a lot of books and always am looking for recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago. An amazing journey from the south of France across Spain to the city of Santiago.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love working out and would be more than willing to help anyone that wants to become more fit and healthy. I can also cook you a meal, given the supplies; I love sharpening my skills in the kitchen.

If you know German I'm trying to learn it and would appreciate some lessons or pointers.

Lastly, I think it'd be great to exchange stories, any sort!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can provide you with humor, workout tips, cooked food, stories, and high-fives.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahrain, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Spain, United Arab Emirates
