About Me

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm an enthusiastic traveler who loves to explore new places, experience different cultures, and meet people from all over the world. Originally from Brazil, where I graduated in food engineering. My passion for travel really took off when I spent a year studying agro-food engineering in Nantes, France as part of an exchange program. Since then, I've been traveling as often as I can.

What really inspires me about traveling is the opportunity to experience new cultures, try different dishes, and meet new people. I believe that traveling is one of the best ways to expand our horizons and enrich our lives.

My goal is to explore as many places as possible around the world and have unique and memorable experiences along the way. That's why I love the concept of couchsurfing, which allows me to immerse myself in local cultures and meet people from different places.

If you're looking for friendly and curious travelers to stay with you, we would love to have the opportunity to meet you, learn more about your culture and traditions, and share a bit of our own. And if you are also a traveler, let's share travel stories and tips!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that staying with locals through couchsurfing gives us a chance to connect with people who have a deep understanding of the place we're visiting. I believe that the best way to experience a new destination is through the eyes of those who call it home. Couchsurfing provides us with a unique opportunity to have an immersive experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! I’m always interested in knowing the local music of the countries I visit.

My favorite music style is rock, I also love reggaeton.

I like to watch comedy, romance, drama, fiction, action and horror (movies, series and animes).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did volunteer work with an environmental and social impact. In France I had the opportunity to conduct a viability study of a production process designed for disabled workers to reuse fruits and vegetables manufacturing fruit compotes and vegetable soups.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m proud of my Brazilian heritage and I can share my culture, brazilian food and music. I can teach you some useful phrases in my native tongues.

I would like to learn about your culture, local music, try your typical food, and pick up new words in your language. I’m very curious and open to learn anything you want to teach us.

Finally, I’m always happy to share my travel experiences and offer tips and recommendations for other travelers. I believe that the couchsurfing community is all about giving and receiving, and we can't wait to exchange knowledge and experiences with our hosts and couchsurfers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share interesting facts about my culture, as well as introduce you to some of our favorite dishes like brigadeiro and Brazilian-style chicken strogonoff.

I also can share my travel experiences and offer tips and recommendations.
