About Me

Hello there! I'm Montez (I go by my middle name instead of Amanda)👋 I'm friendly, grounded with the earth, and always on the lookout for beautiful naturescapes. I'm a lover of all forms of life and feel a purpose to care for this beautiful world as I explore. I do my best not to fall to complacency and choose to live each new day for the fresh beginning that it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfers to connect with community and share rich experiences. I've been living in Boulder for 3 years and would love to hold space for others to experience how amazing this place is that I call home :)

Also, I love to travel in such a way where I can really connect with each new place in the way locals do, and not just as a tourist re-creating the same experiences over and over in new settings.

Interests

Some things that make my life happier: nature connection, animals, art, writing, dancing, cooking, photography, reading, yoga, hiking, bongos, star-gazing, breaking the limits of fear, and generally making light of life. My best friend is my dog Blake, a cool and foxy looking Border Collie/ Aussie mix. He's adopted and ruffly 11 years old🐾

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life, life itself is amazing.

Life is the most miraculous blessing.
Every moment is a co-evolutionary dance of its parts, animated by the whole.

The sum of our parts infinitely greater than our individualism.
The sum of our parts limitless.

What we create is influenced by nature, nature being changed by what we create.
Where we meet is the birthplace of existence.

The love we gift ourselves radiates into interconnected communal love.
This radically unconditional love strikes the drum at the center of the Universe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share a new perspective, photography tips, animal care, music circles, holistic advice, mindfulness, gardening hands, and some vegan cooking.
Interested in learning about new cultures, the banjo, rock climbing, and deepening my learning of Spanish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing kindness and leaving a space better than when I first met it. Whether that's expanding collective wisdom, sharing a cooked meal, or cleaning- I'd love to offer genuine connection, respect, and and free flowing conversation😊
