About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I have been teaching English in South America for three years and am now trying to relocate back to the U.S.
ABOUT ME
I am 29 years old.... Feel like I have learned a lot but I know I have more to learn. I practice yoga, surf, cycling... my vocation is education. I love teaching.
PHILOSOPHY
"You, my brothers, were called to be free!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Met some couch surfers a few years ago who were staying with a friend, later we traveled to their part of Texas and couch surfed with them! Good times.. Now, I am hoping to find some hosts to help me out in my transition back to the U.S. after three years abroad. Eventually I will host when I have my own place set up!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have met some couchsurfers who had the chance to host me soon after!
Interests
I love teaching.... kids or adults... I believe in mutual empowerment through education. I love kids! I love beauty- nature and people... I like adventures, swimming in the ocean, roaming in the mountains, connecting with God...being free...etc! I like to get involved in community, really knowing people and sharing life with the people I come into contact with. I try to read as much as I can, I believe in education as a tool for liberation and life enrichment! I am really into languages and want to learn as many as I can... I will continue to travel and get to know more of the world once I have worked a few years and saved up again.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love after love
Derek Walcott ( Antillas, 1930- )
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one??
I would have to say crossing the sand dunes on horseback going from coastal towns Valizas to Cabo Polonio in Uruguay. From the top of the Buena Vista sand dune, you can see the three islands of sealions and behind you can see the whole dune valley between the two towns with a lone cow here or there searching precious blades of grass and maybe that oasis we saw in the middle of the valley... maybe it was a mirage though....
Teach, Learn, Share
Living in South America has really shaped my knowledge of how the world really functions. I can now see my own country with not only a more critical eye, but also with a love and a passion for progress that I didn't know before...
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you are so kind to host me, I can definitely share stories and maybe some deep conversation on life and the world. I will also share in cleaning and cooking!
