Hi I am Amanda! I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2012, I packed up and moved to Germany for college and haven't really stopped moving since! Now, I speak German fluently, dapple in Spanish and hold a couple degrees in Sociology and Demography.

I am constantly doing my best to lead a more conscious, minimalistic, body positive and plant-based lifestyle. Meet everyone with kindness and empathy. And enjoy the small things; feeling the sun on my skin, smelling pretty flowers, finding seashells and cool rocks, playing and laughing with little ones, meeting new people and making new friends.

Couchsurfing will allow me not only to travel and explore new places, but also bring me closer to new people and new cultures. It is also the perfect addition to my new found conscious living lifestyle.

I am a Netflix addict. Binge favs: Big Mouth, Stranger Things, A Good Place!!

Although I enjoy exploring big cities, going out with friends, and dancing. I am a nature girl at heart. I love camping and fishing and hiking and swimming and kayaking. Just everything :)

I guess my all time fav author at the moment though is Matt Haig. Humans was such a fun and entertaining read. It also really got me thinking about human civilization and how we interact with one another.

I packed up most of my stuff (sold the rest) and moved to Germany before even learning the language!

I am pretty crafty and like making things from random found objects, but mostly pretty flowers!

Mornings, I usually practice either yoga or go jogging. I am still a beginner, but am always open to practicing with others :)

I love to cook and am always up for a good meal and conversation!
