ABOUT ME

I am a 25 year-old new teacher (music - yeah yeah!) from Calgary, AB, Canada. I have the travel bug and I want to see the world! I am incredibly responsible, motivated, organized and reliable, and absolutely love appreciating the beauty that lies all around us - there is so much of the world to see and I want to see it all!

PHILOSOPHY

To be open to new experiences and new people, to live life with a smile on my face and to take in the beauty that is all around me :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started couchsurfing during my EuroTrip when it was recommended to me by friends, and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately I don't have a place in Calgary, I'm somewhat of a suburban vagabond ... so I can't host! But I would love to meet up with people passing through :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's so much fun to meet new people, make new friends, and learn about the city from locals. Such a different experience than being in a hostel as a tourist. I am having so much fun couchsurfing!

- Rock/Ice Climbing (I'm new at these sports, only a couple seasons to my name, but I absolutely love them both!)
- Pet Sitting (I co-own an in-home pet sitting business in Calgary, which I am co-running from Europe; I don't have a "home" in Calgary because I am constantly living in my clients homes while they are away, taking care of their awesome pets in wonderful houses!)
- Music (I am a flautist and pianist, private music teacher and have recently got a job for September as a secondary school music teacher)
- Travelling (love seeing new things, meeting new people, and exploring the world!)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. Rock/Ice Climbing: conquering my fear of heights and reaching the peak of some crazy mountain in the Rockies and being able to look out on the beautiful landscape that is Western Canada.
2. Costa Rica: I was only there for a day as part of a cruise through the Panama Canal, but I was absolutely infatuated with the biodiversity of the country and the kindness of the people :)
3. Europe: my first long-term encounter with history smacking you in the face every turn you take. I love that everywhere you go you are learning about your own life and parts of all of the things that shaped the world into the place we live in today!
