About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Love unconditionally.

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist-- I paint, draw, write, and most importantly to me I dance and choreograph. I love to hear what people have to say about life. I love to hear all of those funny stories that make a person who they are, and I love to share stories from my own life that share about who I am and why I matter. I love to cook for people. I like to keep moving, as I have for most of my life.
If you asked my best friend about me---
She would tell you I'm like the moon (you see, she's more like a sun.) I am bright in dark places. I like the mystery that the moon has... but now I'm just being poetic...

I start my days with a cup (or three) of coffee and prayer.
I love to write, and so I write often. I spend my days looking for the freedom of adventure in the routines of 'life' and sometimes that means I do some very silly things!

PHILOSOPHY

Well, it starts with coffee. So lets have a cup of it and talk. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By surfing (in the summer) and hosting any other time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time on a trip around Europe the summer of 2012, loved it! I hosted people in my American city of Dallas and look forward to hosting in my new home as well. I've hosted people from the states and abroad, for a week or a night. I just love it!

Interests

I am a dancer-- and have been for about 20+ years of my life now. I trained only as a ballet dancer for 12 of those years, and then became really involved in modern dance and choreography. Fell in love with it, and haven't stopped, nor plan to stop anytime soon. I spent three years teaching dance full time. Now I work as a volunteer with underprivileged young adults and continue to dance and teach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent times I have felt awestruck were very simple. I lived in Latvia during the Summer of 2012, and in the Summer it stays sunny there for a long time-- when the moon finally comes out it shines the brightest I have ever seen. One of my first nights here I had woken up at around 2 or 3 in the morning to get water and walking back into my room towards my bed I caught a glimpse out the window-- I interrupted myself with "oh." It was almost just a breathe, hardly a word, and I stood there dumb founded... I finally took a picture. The moon was bright enough for me to get a picture that did it even just a little bit of justice. I fell back to sleep completely content.

Another time was this late night swim at a pond near where I lived in Latvia. Early summer, and the water is very cold. I love it. There is nothing that makes you feel more alive than jumping into cold water, and thats exactly what I did. I ran a couple steps and jumped off a small cliff into the icy water below, and it was exhilarating. The sky was on fire at 23:00-- Sun was almost set, and I was so, incredibly, happy.
