About Me
CURRENT MISSION
First time Mum as of May 2017. It is definitely an adventure. I cannot wait to show my daughter the world and instil an healthy bit of curiosity and wanderlust.
ABOUT ME
I'm super friendly, (my best friend says "bubble-ly") and love striking up conversation with random people. I really like to listen to people's stories, but sometimes I interrupt with questions.
I'm spontaneous, but like to have a plan even if I'm going to throw it out the window.
I love to talk to people and I love to listen. I like to think I'm quite open-minded.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live by the Golden Rule, do unto others and all that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just joined CouchSurfing a few years ago but didn't really use it. I hope it will be a tool to meet people from around the world, and learn more about the world.
In 2012 we had a very cool person from Scotland stay with us for a week, and he was just awesome! If hosting from CS is anything like that then I'm ready and set to chill with other people!
Interests
Languages, I love learning languages, even if only phrases.
Coffee.
Reading and writing, though not much time for this anymore.
Coffee.
Learning how to do new things.
Coffee.
Going to the cinema is one of my favourite things!
Haha, I'm not really THAT obsessed with coffee, I just think it's delicious.
I want to open a coffeehouse with my husband someday.

Music, Movies, and Books
Sci-fi fantasy books and movies are my favourites. My favourite author is Garth Nix.
My favourite bands and such are Tegan and Sara, AFI, NeverShoutNever, and The Dresden Dolls, 3Oh3! Regina Spector and I'm really digging Taylor Swift's 1989 album.
I like awesome movies! Haha. Donnie Darko, The Butterfly Effect, A Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Alice in Wonderland, Sucker Punch, Scott Pilgrim, Shaun of the Dead, Repo the Genetic Opera, so many more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My now husband actually proposed on a gondola in Venice, my parents like to tease that it only happens in the movies.
Temple Expiatori De La Sagrada Familia - So amazing, I hope to someday see the inside.
Basilica de Montserrat - Actually saw the inside of this beautiful cathedral, the organ was breath taking. I remember sitting down into one of the pews and not standing back up for I don't know how long.
I learned the basics of Blowing Glass a couple years ago it was/is brilliant I cannot wait to have another chance at practicing those skills and expanding on them in the future.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can knit...kind of. Oh, I like beading, want to make friendship bracelets? I'm pretty damn good at making Cheesecake (vegan too), when I don't have to worry about using a gas oven! I love brewing coffee. I have a French press, a bialetti stovetop brewer, a regular drip, and love to cold brew.
