ABOUT ME

I'm Amanda, 28. I live in Oxford. I've been here for one year and so. About me... I love travelling. I do because this world holds beautiful people and places to be found out. I just feel I belong to the world, not a singular place. I extremely enjoy meeting people. It doesn't really matter whether you get on or not. They've got all these interesting stories, backgrounds... I just love listening to people. Their stories never are disappointing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can participate in many different ways. I can give some handy tips, hang out in the evening or whenever, host or surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Edinburgh for Christmas. April, a lovely Scottish girl, hosted me for nearly two weeks. The experience was really good. It felt like being at my friend's. We travelled together to the Highlands, went out to the pub (i have to say that was a lot of fun!!!).
I also met Kenni there. Such a cool dude. I met him through CS. We arrange to have a beer. Oh I tried Sotch Whisky Yay!! Doing the proper ritual of course!!! Last night I stayed at his. He's a really good friend of mine now. We've stayed in touch since then. For Easter time I visited him. It was so nice to see him again. I don't know when I'll see him again but definitely I will!!!
I've also met loads of other people through CS there. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
Here, in Oxford, I've met many people too. I used to go to the weekly meetings where I met some of my current best friends.

Interests

Right now I'm lost in life. But that's ok. I reckon that I need to get lost in order to find myself, don't I?
I'm very interested in other cultures. I don't really read about them, I just find more exciting going to the street and talk with people.
I'm travelling to Greece and Italy this summer and I've planned to travel around Asia next year. Let's see if I find myself over there!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually watch comedy films, that's funny!!! I'd say these are my favourite ones. I love laughing...
About reading, my current favourite book is the Monk who sold his ferrari. I've got more but I'll tell you next time I see you :D
Currently, I'm exploring new music!!! There's lots of music out there I've not listened yet!! Any suggestion??? :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What has amazed me is being in a room with people from different countries, even different continents.. having fun and sharing differents ideas in the most tolerant and nice way ever

I'm willing to try lots of differents kinds of things that I've never done before.

What could I teach to others... I don't know... For sure I'll teach you everything I know! sure :D
