About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Loving Freddy summers!!
ABOUT ME
I love to learn - preferably in a experiential way - through travel and hands on activities! I am definitely a "foodie" and I love everything about food. Tastes, textures, colours, dining out, eating in, experimenting in the kitchen, learning how food is grown! I just finished an eight month stint at IMAP - el Instituto Mesoamericano de Permacultura - where I got to learn so much about permaculture!! Permaculture just makes so much sense to me, in every way!
I really love being outside and feeling the weather. I like when its cold and the sensation of breathing cold air. I love shivering (as long as its not for really long periods of time!) I love when its hot. I love when its so hot you sweat without even moving one little bit. And I adore the feeling of jumping in a body of water or the shower when you are that hot - so AMAZING!! To combine being outside and water I have to add that I am a BIG fan of outdoor showers :)
I'm up for trying anything, from food to music to places to people. The only thing I don't really love is watching movies - not because cinema isn't amazing and fantastic - but because I have an awful tendency to fall asleep while watching them!!
I also love sleeping. I love laying down after a long day and being really excited to sleep. And I equally love waking up and feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Its even better when I get to wake up to daylight pouring in my window!!
Really any experience can be mind blowing - from jumping out of a plane, to diving deep into the ocean to reading a good book in your living room, its all in the perception :)
PHILOSOPHY
You are in the driver's seat of your life. Permaculture - for everything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So many good experiences. Have only had one less than satisfactory host (if you're going to Marseille, contact me and I'll tell you who NOT to stay with!). Otherwise everyone I've met through CS has been buena onda!
Interests
Food. Wine. Good beer - particularly wheat ales. Sleep. Swimming. Hot Tubs. Swimming in Salt Water. Diving. Cats. Exercise. Camp fires. The Full Moon. Walking with music and feeling as happy and oblivious as the guy in the Juicy Fruit commercials.

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually fall asleep in movies, especially action ones. If I can manage to stay awake I like independent movies that are more situational and about real life than crazy flashy stuff!
I love reading, although I can't say what my favorite book would be.....I usually prefer either non-fiction or "real life" fiction that is set in a different country or time period, with relative accuracy so that I can learn!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gaining understanding of the marvel and beauty of mother nature. I am awestruck thousands of times a day by nature's ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak English, French, and Spanish and I would love to learn more languages. My next goals are Portuguese and Italian, and Russian (although I think I'll need a lot of work on that one!)I love languages and the learning process behind them - both learning and teaching.
I'm just getting into yoga and I love what its doing in my life. I thought it was all just a hype until I began. Now I couldn't imagine my life without it. I'd like to continue learning but would like to share what I know with anyone willing to learn.
In case you haven't already figured out that I love food - it may be my all time favorite thing (if I have to pick just one, that is!) My favorite technique is looking in the fridge and creating some concoction, and I'm always on the look out for new "recipe" ideas!!
