About Me

I am California born and bred.
I had the joy of living and studying on the ocean cliffs in Santa Barbara for my youthful years.
I just spent the past two years serving as an environment volunteer in Malawi for the Peace Corps.
I am about to begin studying International Policy and Development/French at Middlebury Institute in Monterey, CA.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I just spent two years living as a local in a foreign country, I never want to travel again as a tourist. It is much more fulfilling to experience a place with someone that calls that place home.

Interests

Humans - they're such amazing creatures (that sounds creepy, but I mean it - I like people)
Travel (obvious one?)
Animals - ALLLL the animals
Vegetables - planting them, eating them, sharing them.
The ocean, the mountains, the desert: so mainly, anything outdoors that requires some physical activity - snowboarding, surfing, hiking, camping.
MUSIC and dancing is my favorite.
FOOD, especially anything with cheese.
I just spent two years living without electricity so I really like BOOKS (Non-fiction is my favorite)

Music, Movies, and Books

EDM, Rap, Indie, Jazz - pretty much anything that makes me move
TOP 3:
M83, Above & Beyond, Portugal. The Man

Movie and Books are great too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just spent two years living in a rural farming village in Malawi all by myself in a house without electricity or running water - that's pretty cool I think?

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be spending the rest of my life teaching about Malawi - the people, the culture, the happiness that the population exemplifies despite being one of the poorest nations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My smile, my sarcasm, my positive energy, my friendship, and food and drink - I can always contribute some food and drink.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Italy, Malawi, Mexico, Mozambique, South Africa

Countries I’ve Lived In
