About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to be happy with what I have where I am.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Tulsa, Oklatostada 2009 to start my first "big girl job" at a private pediatric clinic working as an Occupational Therapist for children with special needs! Lucky for me, I met the love of my life and we were married here in Tulsa in April 2012. Together we are starting a sustainable farm and should be cruising the area farmers markets by next spring. We love camping, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, reading, learning, long deep conversations, and spending time with our two cats. I'm also busy with yoga and book club!

PHILOSOPHY

"To be who we are and to become what we are capable of becoming is the only end in life." ~ unknown

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoy hosting and showing people around the Tulsa local hot spots. Ive surfed and used CS for social networking before we got married. Lately we've been busy starting my husbands business so not as much time for fun and folly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I first surfed couches on our road trip back from L.A. to Wisconsin in 2008 - We loved the experience, had a wonderful time, and saved money! It's great! Since then I've surfed at 3-4 homes and hosted 4-5 people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dork Whore - a hilarious traveling memoir

Recently listening to: She & Him, Angus & Julia Stone, Feist, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Black Eyed Peas, and a little country (Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Lady Antebellum) mixed in to remind me of Wisconsin!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got accidentally locked into a commuter train in Scotland, was nearly 3 hours late for my first day of clinical observation, walked over a mile in heels, and the only person I found to provide me with directions was a deaf woman who wouldn't take the time to write a message ... turns out American Sign Language and British Sign Language are different after all!

Teach, Learn, Share

When traveling abroad bring clean pillow cases...they can be multipurpose!
