ABOUT ME

Hey there surfers!

I'm currently a student at the UofMN finishing up my degree in Kinesiology. I'll be taking a year off before grad school and am looking forward to finally having time for adventures and traveling! I have friends that have had great experiences with couch surfing and can't wait to try it out for myself.

So, a little about myself:
I am, first and foremost, a foodie. Food is always the first thing on my mind when I'm traveling. That and beer. Point me in the direction of a great meal and local brew and you will quickly become my favorite person.

I'm also a big runner. Not competitively by any means but I enjoy going out and enjoying on a beautiful trail run. I have run 2 marathons so far and am looking forward to training for a sprint triathlon this spring. Along with the running thing, fitness is a big part of my life and I work as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. This is mostly to stay ahead of the food obsession...

I am a natural busybody and love going out and seeing new things, new places, and simply exploring my surroundings. I am looking forward to relaxing for a while in my year off from school but am still trying to figure out what that will look like for me.

Although I've never couchsurfed before, I am very much looking forward to meeting interesting people even if it's just for a brief time. What an amazing community that opens up their homes to strangers for the sake of goodwill and human connection.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been trying to catch up on movies that I've missed over the years and recently enjoyed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Reservoir Dogs. I'd say my favorite movie would have to be The Shawshank Redemption though. Love me some Morgan Freeman.

I just started watching Parks and Rec which is the show I've been binging on. I'm a die-hard GOT, Modern Family, and HIMYM fan also.

I'm currently reading A Time to Kill by John Grisham and The Wave by Susan Casey.
