About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Summer backpacking trip with my friend Taylor in Europe!

ABOUT ME

Adventurer, nature-lover, "freegan," friend, daughter, sister, lover of art and music, wanna-be cook, collector of stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Life isn't that serious, so don't make it too hard on yourself. Learn what you can, when you can, and take any opportunity for making the world a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host and be hosted! I travel frequently, and as of yet have always had an acquaintance to stay with, but as my travels take me farther from home I've needed to to expand my options! Looking to meet new friends who appreciate the beauty of the world, and want to know more about those who inhabit it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet (through this website). But I've spent many a night on a couch, and frequently have friends/family/acquaintances stay with me when they visit.

Interests

Yoga, people, food, community development, books, music, movies, stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I don't usually stay awake for an entire movie, but if I do, it's probably a documentary about social issues. Or Chipotle. I'm much more likely to sit through a show like The Office, Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother (though I'm not caught up on any of those)!

Music: Anything without autotune (except when I want to dance)!

Books: EVERYTHING. Most recently I read Reza Aslan's Zealot, Wanderlust by Elisabeth Eaves, and some YA fiction that I may or may not have also gone to see the film version of (sorry not sorry). I've loved Russian literature ever since I took a class in it my first semester of college. I may or may not have actually finished Les Míserables. Trilogies, or series of most kinds, both stress me out and entice me. Finished Harry Potter like 10 years after everyone else. Can't bear the thought of starting LOTR (also can't bear the thought of never reading it). Will never be able to sit through all of those movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For the past three years I've lived in the number one tourist destination in the United States. It's beautiful, historic, and charming. I get to see the ocean every day, and it takes my breath away every time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't feel qualified to teach much, but I can lead you through some fun/detoxifying/relaxing/energizing yoga sequences!
