About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a habitual traveler and chronic homebody. I'm at the age where we're supposed to be figuring things out for the long term, but I'm not all that keen on actually doing so. That probably says it all, really.
PHILOSOPHY
What I enjoy in traveling more than anything is experiencing the ordinary little life stuff (grocery shopping, going to the park, having coffee... even going to the movies and watching tv) in new ways with with new people in a new place. The big grand stuff is great, but the little differences and endless variety of the ways people live their lives is really what keeps me going places and doing things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently traveling so can't host, but I'm excited to meet some local people in the places I visit and find out what makes their town special to them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Oman for a few days and had a great experience. Also met up with some couchsurfers in Turkey, Greece, and Jordan, which greatly enhanced the trip. Hope to do more in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like what's usually called Indie music, and spent a year at Uni struggling with that term and what it means. I don't have a whole lot of cred there and no, I probably haven't heard of your litmus test obscure collective, but I love to love the music I listen to and am always looking for and craving more. I don't read as much long-form fiction as I used to (studying English will eat the love of that out of you, a bit) but that's hopefully temporary.
I spend most of my non-music media consumption-time watching back to back episodes of TV shows. If you can name it and it's not a reality show (Cupcake Wars excepted... Cupcake wars ALWAYS excepted) I've probably seen a bit of of, heard of it and wanted to see it, or watched the entire third season in one night and then stumbled sleep-deprived through the following day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming at the bottom of the waterfall near where I lived in Chiangrai. Sometimes it was too strong to get close to, sometimes it was possible to swim behind, but all the time it was amazing. A couple of times exploring castle ruins with my family when I was younger. Ruins are better without audio guides and cordons. Coming across the bridge into Manhattan for the first time and seeing the whole city laid out.
