About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn how to speak a second language fluently, fix bikes and do a cycle tour, design a permaculture garden, grow in a way that can allow me to contribute to a sustainable world.

ABOUT ME

sometimes realy crazy, outgoing, full of life, ready for adventure....sometimes quiet so that I can meerly take everything in. I think if you read my interest you will find out more about me.

PHILOSOPHY

don't know...what I say could be understood differently to different people and then you wouldn't know my philosopy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Even though I am new to this web site, I feel I have been doing 'this' for quite a while. By joining this website I feel like I have meerly formalised what I beleive and made this experience for myself and others available to a larger scale.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in High School my family had some german backpackers stay at our house that I met when volunteering at a summer camp. Then when I was travelling in Europe in 2007 so many people so generously hosted and helped me on my travels. Then when I was studying and living in Brisbane would take exchange students rockclimbing and hiking in our local area and encouraged people to come and stay at my place if needed accomodation. Coolest person was a swiss girl who had vouched for a quick 1 month holiday in Australia but ended up hanging with us in the blue mountains on our yearly uni holiday and then later at my place in Brisbane.

Interests

European people and cultures are so amazing...they learn and speak so many languages...I want to do that too so my first 2nd languag will hopefully be German. My passion in this world is the natural environment, but particularly rocks and the ocean. This means I love rockclimbing and surfing/ sailing/ going to the beach and white water paddling. My mission that I hope to accomplish in my life is to contribute to making this world a sustainable place to live. Am fascinated by cultures and people and so like to experience new cultures and places but find meerly travelling between youth hostels and famous buildings boaring. Would prefer to get to know a place and its people through active participation. oh yeah and I love bikes too - for touring/ travelling or everyday transport in the city

Music, Movies, and Books

next book I really want to read is the Permaculture Bible. All types of music but like more alternate kind of stuff. Mainstream movies I find generally boaring and over fantasised but a decent move, maybe based on a true story I find realy cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

climbed a 200m high cliff face to the top of the mountain than the next day hiked up a glacier to a 3000 meter high peak. Lived in the alpes. Communicating with malaysian locals with the little bit of malaysian I have learnt, seen Orang Otangs in the wild...still more to come I'm sure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share my thoughts and ideas to people who are interested, don't like to just preach them. These things are all reflective in my personal description. On the same note I like to listen to people's stories/ experiences
