About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, enjoy and really live! Be bold, courageous and Do the impossible!

ABOUT ME

My name is Amanda. I am a cheerful, fun, and friendly American girl who loves to travel. I live with passion, excitement and enthusiasm. I am positive, optimistic, and goal-oriented. I dream big, try hard, and stay focused, constantly striving for success in every area of my life. I decide what I want to do and I go for it, no matter how impossible or unreasonable it seems. I believe that anything is possible if you want it bad enough, that if you hold on to your dreams and never give up you can live the life you imagine.

I came to New Zealand a year ago on a working holiday visa, filled with the spirit of adventure and a desire to experience a new and different culture. I wanted to explore the unknown and to challenge myself, to be bold and courageous and to face the world on my own. And this is exactly what I did. My original intention was to live in New Zealand for a year and then move on to Australia for a year. I traveled backpacker style for the first three months, then found a place to settle down, live and work. As it sometimes happens I met somebody very special while I was traveling and I have decided to stay in New Zealand longer term. Unfortunately the immigration process has been difficult and I haven't able to get a visa.

Instead of giving up and going home I have decided to find a way to make it happen. I am in Sydney on a visitors visa while I go through the process of applying for another visa so that i can return to my partner in new zealand. In the mean time I have the opportunity to continue on with my original dream, traveling in Australia. I will be experiencing life in australia until my visa is approved, or my visitors visa expires...which ever comes first. I intend to do a lot of walking, running, sight seeing and visiting the beaches while i am here. Outside of that I will be reading, studying and planning my return to NZ. I just want to stay busy and enjoy my time away.

I seek to live a fit and healthy lifestyle. I am not into partying. I wont judge you if you do, but its not my thing. I prefer to find healthier ways of having a good time. I like to stay active, eat good and be healthy. I am a qualified personal trainer and nutritional consultant so fitness is a part of who I am. I have been working within the health and fitness industry for the last six years. I also hold a bachelorâ

PHILOSOPHY

Stay positive. Be happy. Create the life of your dreams. Dont limit yourself. Be unreasonable. Live the life you imagine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have ever done was to love completely. But if that isn't exciting to you, I have also been bunji jumping, sky diving, back packing, and a few other exciting adventures too! When I was a bank teller I was robbed at gun point. I have run a marathon and competed in figure (which is a cross between womens bodybuilding and a Miss Universe.)

Teach, Learn, Share

I will help you in any way I can. I like to help and I want to contribute. We can practice speaking Spanish. I can help you improve your fitness. We can walk together, talk together, and be active together. I am a good lister, an awesome friend, and fun to be with. You can count on me to smile, stay positive, encourage and hopefully inspire.

I want to learn to dance, play the guitar, sing, rock climb, kayak, swim, learn sign language, and so much more...
