About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I did my first solo trip through Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina in 2015-2016. I completed my first long-term nomadic trip of 4 and a half months In November 2019 and am now home in San Francisco! I’d love to connect with fellow CSers on my Instagram @amandaporelmundo
My travel goals are to explore historical sites, night life (dancing is my heart!) and the people of each country in a personal way. I want to meet positive people all around the globe!
ABOUT ME
I love being active, especially running or hiking. I have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit in my life, and hope to keep that up by meeting other CSers! I care a lot about people, nature, and the relationships between the two. I love exploring new cultures and perspectives on life. I enjoy variety, change.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is live as best you can, while respecting the earth and others. Respect the human struggle and celebrate life!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to connect with people from all over the world to learn more about this incredible global community we are part of. Oh, and try all the food in the world. ;)
Interests
I love to run, read, explore new cultures and meet new people! I studied Sociology and focused on race, so I love talking about issues around race, class, gender, etc. Essentially any inequalities in systems or institutions is what I want to know about.
I love to DANCE, and listen to all types of music, live or otherwise, too. And I love food. :)
Keeping an active mind and body is essential.

I enjoy introspective books, and documentaries a lot also. Nonfiction over fiction for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving. An experience everyone should have at least once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer help around the house in exchange for hosting me. I am very tidy, and can help cleaning up after meals. I love to organize spaces! I can also be of assistance practicing English or Spanish or studying for tests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my perspectives on life and the world, as we all have our own based on our own experiences. I love talking about how similar and different all peoples around the globe are.
I can also share my cleaning and organization skills, as well as giving a helping hand in or outside the home!
