About Me
Hello!
So, I started traveling over 4 years ago when I studied abroad in Cannes, France for 4 months. When I got home I had decided that at *some* point I was going to take off on a long-term trip. Well, 2 more years of school later (getting two degrees in Film Production and in French), plus a few years working at a full-time job, I have saved up the money and am traveling around the world!
I am a very fun, open-minded, intelligent, hard working young woman. I enjoy doing yoga, recently got into hula hooping, and also enjoy photography, reading, watching TV shows...
I love meeting and getting to know new people (you sort of have to enjoy that to travel solo), and am always seeking to learn more and expand on myself and my knowledge and my experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Quite simply -- I love connecting with people and I love traveling! I think this site creates such a unique opportunity TO travel, but more importantly, in doing so, to get to meet local people and experience a the places you want to see through a different lens.
It's one thing to go visit a new place and stay in a hostel, or a hostel, but it's so different to get to experience it with a local host whom you (ideally) get to know and forge new friendships with as well!
Interests
I have a super wide variety of interests, most of which I've already said in one form or another but: yoga, visiting coffee shops in foreign cities, reading non-fiction books in those coffee shops, photography, music, dance, movement, and also -- circus arts! Including, but not limited to, hula hooping, headstands, a bit of acro yoga, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Moulin Rouge. Chicago. Les Miserables. 8 1/2. Cabaret. 12 Angry Men.
Music: just about everything. Top favorites, however, include Mumford & Sons. Nahko and Medicine for the People. The Avett Brothers.
Books: lots of non-fiction. Brene Brown. Eckhart Tolle. Anything to do with theology, world religion, spirituality, self-betterment, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spend a week and a half on a remote island in the middle of Nicaragua called "Circus Island" with a bunch of circus people! Then, getting to bring the circus to kids in Granada. That was super special.
