About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn everything about the whole world in 1 month.

ABOUT ME

bookmaker, printmaker, general messing-around-with-bits-of-paper-and-fabric kind of girl. I'm studying art but don't plan to be a career artist. I'm rather timid but working on not being so.

PHILOSOPHY

Personal philosophy is to try my best to never cause anyone around me a negative experience... If I look out for others' happiness, maybe they will return the favor!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ideas of family and community are very appealing to me which makes couch surfing (i think) a good fit. I look forward to participating as much as I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My brother couch-surfed through europe, and we hosted a few surfers at our house in Carrboro, NC. I've only heard good things!

Interests

Figuring out how to visually represent things that barely make sense. Thinking about things while a trace lovely pictures of children sleeping. Meeting people, learning their stories, and becoming a part of their world if only for a short time; and laughing and enjoying myself while doing so.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to any music as long as someone who is truly passionate about it is playing it for me.

As far as movies go I go for comedies, and any film that can keep my attention for 2 hours simply by being visually stimulating.

I prefer children's books more than any novel. They make me feel simple and not complicated, and i love beautiful old illustrations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to real art school. maybe not amazing to most people but it is opening my eyes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a few sort of half-correct versions of book-binding techniques, i like to make little art books and journals so if anyone was interested in bookmaking i may have a few tips.
