About Me

CURRENT MISSION: cultivating my inner artist and navigating the early twenties.

OPERATION FULL LIFE: raw, beautiful, and free.

PHILOSOPHY: I like discussing philosophy. But I living it out is much more interesting to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING: met some great folks whilst on a trip to Ireland; have enjoyed the CS meetups too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: only had one successful surfing experience in Ireland (cheers to Eoin!), but had a number of communications with kind people--timing and location just missed each other.

Interests

Most anything out of doors, especially related to water or mountains. I enjoy a good book, childhood games, and crossword puzzles. I think theologically and artistically; consequently, I enjoy conversing with children. I care about women's issues and am intrigued by different cultures and food. I love art: painting, museums, history, street murals...

Music, Movies, and Books

As of this writing, here's what immediately comes to mind:
Music: Zee Avi, Alexi Murdoch, Switchfoot, Fleetwood Mac, Josh Garrels, Shakira. UPDATE: Zach Winters, Joseph, Taylor Swift (don't hate).

Books: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, The Hobbit. UPDATE: Anna Karenina, 100 Years of Solitude, Gilead, Opened Ground (poetry by Seamus Heaney), Growing Pains.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure what should count as 'amazing'...so I'll throw out a few ideas:
--I've won a 'cereal for life' contest.
--I've trekked into the Thai jungle, chopped down bamboo using a machete, and lugged it down the mountain to build a mushroom hut.
--I've seen people forgive and love again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I might be able to share something about cooking. I love using/learning about how to use food medicinally.
I might be able to share something about theology and reconciliation.
I might be able to teach a bit about oil painting.
I would like to learn more about rock climbing and literature!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dish duty?

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Guatemala, Ireland, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Thailand
