À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Handstands and Backflips. And maybe the splits.
ABOUT ME
I have a very confusing approach to life. At any given moment, I will have a perfectly laid out plan of how I want my life to go from now until I die. And then I like to mess it all up by making major life changes based on serendipity and dreams (literally. I decided to go be an au pair in Austria because I had a dream about it).
Other things I've dreamed about: Darth Vader dating my best friend and writing emo poetry about it on livejournal, the time I woke up as a reincarnated Egyptian god, and the other time that I was Harry Potter and Dumbledore sent a flying, sparkly potato at me while I was talking to Draco to "test" me.
It's probably a good thing I don't take all my dreams seriously.
I'm obsessed with the feeling of flight - not in the way where you're up in the air, but the in the endless-possibility and wind-in-your-face way. The closest I've come is riding my bike or on those days where the wind is at my back as I run.
I'm normally pretty laid back, except when it comes to catching flights or buses. I've had a long string of bad luck with such things, so now I get jumpy.
I love being outdoors and draw my lifeblood from breathing air fresh from the trees. This is something I treasure all the more now that I live in the heart of a metropolis.
PHILOSOPHY
Living deeply. Whatever that means.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've done some hosting, surfing, and coffee-ing. I love them all and cannot begin to count the ways that CS has expanded my life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At this point, I have had too many to list and I wouldn't have it any other way. It has introduced me to such a wide slice of humanity and what the world has to offer that I can't even give it voice.
Centres d'intérêt
I've found that playing board games while imbibing is probably one of the best things ever.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Books: Lockpick Pornography, Momo, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Hunger Games, Sandman
Currently Reading: The Master and Margarita (just started)
Music: I've tried to quantify. Can't do it. Layers help. Things I can listen to over and over. Songs that subsume you.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Seen an endangered waterbuffalo from the back of an elephant in the rainforests of Nepal.
Went to Oktoberfest alone because I missed my meet-up. Ended up sleeping in a freezing tent with a bunch of blue Kiwis.
Woke up at 5 am to queue at 6:30 for ticket to see Ian McKellen as King Lear. The performance itself was pretty awesome too.
Rang in the New Year at St. George's square singing that one High Road Low Road song. Proceeded to a flat party where I was serenaded by a large man in a kilt and pink sparkly cowboy hat.
Climbing Arthur's Seat at 1 am.
