To push beyond all boundaries
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm a light hearted person who is always up to try something new. I like meeting new people because I love learning about other's experiences and especially their outlook on the world. I view everything through a camera lens and take in the beauty of the smallest things around me.
I'm currently finishing up my degree at Dalhousie University with a major in Neuroscience. I'm at a bit of a toss up as to whether I want to take further schooling to go into research for endangered wildlife conservation or alternative medicines for mental illnesses. That'll be put aside though for a little while since I'll be going to Turkey this fall to teach English. Not only is this a great way to make money, but will make travelling overseas so much easier! This is a great opportunity that I'm looking forward to.
Oh, and I love food. As long as there's no meat, I'll eat anything. Especially if it's sweet...
PHILOSOPHY
Never hide from yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, very little, but after the summer I really hope to fill out some great experiences in this box :)
Interests
If I have my laptop up, at some point I will be looking at pictures. I used to start my day off by checking out the picture of the day on National Geographic's website. It's mainly wildlife and nature pictures that catch my attention.
I go out for coffee dates whenever I can, and also have board game nights from time to time.
A lot of my focus lately has turned to my spiritual growth. I love reading books or watching talks on how to expand your consciousness and raise your vibration.
I also get lost in fiction books pretty easily. If I can't go exploring our world, I'll be doing it elsewhere in my head!
Meeting up with friends and trying every coffee shop in town is always on my to do list.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - chillstep, dance-mixes, some classical music - Ludovico Einaudi is my favourite modern artist(I love piano and am a sucker for Mozart...), alternative rock.
Movies - I love documentaries. Sometimes I have trouble just going onto Netflix because I've already watched most of them. I believe it's important to expand your consciousness and to know what's going on around you.
I also enjoy fantasy-fiction and comedy from time to time.
Books - I can easily get lost in a fantasy/adventure novel. I also like spiritual-esque type books. I recommend Deepak Chopra to pretty much anyone as a good segue into deeper stuff.
Just give me something that will make me think or will be able to have a decent conversation about, and I will love it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I was in Thailand, I got to work hands on with elephants. The vet at the Elephant Nature Park didn't mind if a few of us tagged along with him for a couple days to help him with his rounds. Looking after some healing wounds certainly allows you to get up and close with those amazing animals.
Working with pandas has always been a dream of mine since I was a kid so I went to China for a couple weeks to volunteer at a reserve. While it wasn't as hands on and awesome as the Elephant Nature Park, it still felt like a little dream come true.
