About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm about to travel to Europe in July and looking to give Couchsurfing a try. The first time I traveled abroad, I stopped in London on my way to Rwanda. Among the many differences between these two experiences, one that stood out was my interaction with people. In London, I stayed in a flat by myself, left to explore a new place alone with little interaction with other people. In Rwanda, I volunteered, taught, learned, talked, drank and shared meals with other people from around the world and from Rwanda. My time in Rwanda was richer and more meaningful because of the people, and I hope to duplicate that type of traveling experience, in part, by Couchsurfing this time around.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite books are "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," "The Kiterunner," and "Invisible Man".
As for music, I'm a faithful Springsteen fan, as I've mentioned above. I especially love his early stuff from the '70s. Recently, I've been listening to Old Crow Medicine Show, The Avett Brothers, The Weepies, William Elliott Whitmore...
