ABOUT ME

WELL, my name is Amandine, i am trying my best to become a teacher, or a journalist, or a teacher, well, maybe both! we 'll see! I am currently a french teacher in a primary school in Newcastle upon tyne. It's just a one year placement so when i come back home in july i will have to keep on studying and get a degree^^ I wish i could win one at the lottery though... I believe that we should all live our lives for ourselves and not according to someone, or to the society. Success is such a well defined term: you succeed in life if you earn enough money to live in a nice neighbourghood with your nice husband/wife and your 2 and a half kids..that is a very boring thought! Come on, we are only here once,let's forget about institutions and LIVE OUR LIVES:) I will try my best to be happy, pave my path avoiding hurting people on my way to my definition of success...no sorry of happiness.

PHILOSOPHY

As I said before, i believe in the freedom of choices: we should be free of choosing our life, and not feel any pressure from the society we are living in. As for me, I don't feel pressure (yet)^^ I experienced true happiness once in my life and now I am lucky to know how it feels and I will spend my life trying to feel it again! I am not saying that I am not enjoying my everyday life, because I AM :D but I have a space in my head that pushes me to experience new countries, to meet new people and live new experiments. How cool is that? The basic thought would be: we are all living on this same planet, we have a limited time on it, let's take advantage of every second!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had one experience in couchsurfing so far. It was last january as I was traveling to Paris with my best friend. We were hosted in the flat of an american student, very nice! That is from this good experience that I want to enter the couchsurfing world, be hosted and host people

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I have been to Times Square for new year's eve, we were three friends at the begining and we ended up meeting so many people from all around the world! best melting pot EVER!
