About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
hey y'all, i'm new around these parts, my partner Marisa and i are on a budget, we're driving from Vallejo to El Paso to visit my sister in her midwifery program, and then to Chicago to visit Marisa's family for the holidays. We love people, love alternatives to the violences of capitalism, love people coming together to support each other and connect in unique circumstances, and we need to spend as little money as possible on this trip, so couch surfing feeds many needs.
Interests
I'm most interested in delicious things. For me the liberated spirit is most delicious. I'm learning to savor the process as equally so.
Also, Honesty in it's deepest most comprehensive forms, music, food that's healthy for the earth, it's growers, and it's consumers, sweet tender fierce friends, raw nature, dancing, adventure, cuddling, and coziness are all things that immediately jump out of me as very interesting delicious things for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent the last 7 years meditating with incarcerated youth a few times a week. We found such profound inner freedom, resilience, compassion, magic, tenderness, and brutal honesty in there.
By the end of my time in there we were holding 3 hour sessions with entire units, control officer's included, and we had changed much of the top down culture of violence to a culture of communication, connection, magic, and co-evolution.
I left with family, from the staff to the young men, and with a new sense of possibility for the places most detrimentally effected by the systemic violences of the civilized world.
