About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to be really IN it, and to help heal others and myself
ABOUT ME
I work at an after school program in Richmond, CA, tutoring high school students from urban and low-resource communities in math. I am also part of a collective that provides free health care in Berkeley called the Berkeley Free Clinic. I volunteer as a peer counselor, counseling clients on an individual basis for hour-long sessions. I am also applying to medical school, I'm hoping to work in public health as a primary care physician and/or gynecologist.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone has their own truth, value, and gifts to share with the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled by myself in Ethiopia. I traveled by bus, staying with Peace Corps volunteers that I contacted through a friend I had who was currently volunteering with the Peace Corps as well. I was amazed by the genuine hospitality I was given by the peace corp volunteers, but particularly by the Ethiopians I met. During each bus ride, which was almost daily for a whole month, there was always someone who walked me to my destination after leaving the bus, and if someone didn't volunteer, the bus driver would assign someone to help me.
