About Me
Hi...What can I write here??
Born in and grew up in London, UK. I became a teacher after a spell in retail. Now I'm still a teacher and I help mentor trainee teachers in a Uralsk, Kazakhstan. I enjoy travelling and have been doing so for many years.
I'm pretty relaxed and enjoy simple things like chilling out and binge watching Netflix.
Oh and wrestling! Been watching since I was a child with my mum (I think she liked seeing all the wrestlers coated in oil....but that's another story) and just continued to watch as I grew up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been to many places in the world but one of the things that strikes me is that although I've seen many places - I haven't felt like I've experienced them. So I decided to make sure I meet a lot more people on my travels and couch surfing seems like a really cool place to do it.
And if anyone decides they want to visit Uralsk, I'll gladly host you and show you around town.
Interests
I go the gym quite often (although you can't tell) and like to cook. I won't say I'm a good cook but by comparison to most of the people I know I'm okay.
Enjoy TV shows like 24, Stargate, West Wing, House of Cards, Breaking Bad.....and on and on.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh wow....music is a hard pick. I listen to Rock when in the gym and walk to work, but my phone has stuff from Bob Dylan to Johnny Cash to Moby, Dizzee Rascal, Emimem, Evanescence. Korn....too many to say here.
Film...I'll pick Shawshank Redemption only because I remember staying up to watch it when I was 14 and I got to the part (spoiler) where Andy got out and did the pose in the rain and then thought the movie was over and went to bed (it was around 1am and I had an exam in the morning) - but it wasn't the end of the film and I didn't know the name of it. So years later I managed to watch it fully and can probably recite it.
I enjoy most films though. Just depends on my mood as what I should watch.
Too much Netflix to spend time reading...actually I think reading all those course books during University put me off....having a Kindle hasn't changed that either.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been swimming with dolphins....no actually I'll pick this one time I was in Almaty, Kazakhstan and I was on a mountain with my friend on horseback and watching the sunset over a mountain was amazing. I'm not sure if this counts as amazing but the place where I lives gets to -40degrees Celsius in winter and I walk to work but when something I think its amazing that one can walk to work when its -15degrees and think "wow, its warm this morning"
Teach, Learn, Share
Teacher by trade so if anyone wants IT or English lessons I'm ready. But I doubt thats the meaning of "Teach, Learn, Share"
I guess I would repeat what I said before, its amazing to see many places but I do regret not seeing many people along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can share with hosts....thats a tough question. I guess most people are here for similar reasons. To make a human connection while travelling and the stories I have and sharing experiences will aid that. I'm a clean, responsible and tidy and have no issue in taking out a group of people to show my thanks and appreciation and hopefully you'll visit me and I can return the couchsurfing experience.
