Hi everybody!

My name is Angel, I´m 21 years old and I´m from Barcelona. I am a boy with an open mind, I am an adventurous, and over all... a good person. I don't consider myself a bored person, and people often have fun with me! I like to help people, that people help me and people help to other people. I think that the world it is a very good place and we have to discover it.

My love to travel was born when I was a child, whith only four years, I moved to live from Lloret de Mar to Naples, with my mother. I was very young, but I have a strong memory of leaving my comfortable zone and starting in a new place. Because I lived in so many places so far, I have become a very adaptable person whith new situations, and new places. But I think the fact of having lived in so many places, is that I really like meeting new people and their habits.


My story, if you want to know more about me ...

A few days after my 18th birthday, my parents migrated to Chile, on the other side of the world, for work. At this moment I had to make a decision, go to Chile with them, or start a new life in the same city, Barcelona, but alone. I decided to stay in Barcelona and become independent. Something that required looking for a job and studying at the same time. It was a challenge and a decision that has made me mature and become who I am now. The truth is I think I have not done it all wrong.

I started to study telecommunications engineering at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (UPC) and after two years of study, I observed the future that I was waiting on that road. It was a future that I did not like and I decided to change it.
I did not want to be in college four years, to get a job, (like I already had), 8 or 10 hours a day and have 20 days of vacation a year. That in the best case. I just did not want that. I would not be happy.
So I had to make another decisive decision. Or stay in college and become something I did not want, or take the reins of my life and risk everything for a different future, one that I like.
I left the college, which frightened me a lot. From that moment I started to study something that I love, the online business. Something that will allow me to earn money without having to be in a specific place, which will allow me to do something that I love ... to live traveling. In fact, I have started a great project with great enthusiasm. A travel blog called www.vivoviviente.com (it is under construction)

I have prepared to give the change, and I will resign my job on April, where I had permanent work and a good salary, everything to follow my dream. Travel around the world, without a return date. This travel begins in Philippines, with my girlfriend. I have sacrificed and risked everything, but as Samuel said, "there is no victory without sacrifice."

After that, I hope one day, we'll have a beer (or tea jaja), at your house or mine, wherever we are, anywhere in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on CouchSurfing because I listened and readed a lot of very good histories of people that have been on couchs of other people around the world and of people that have offered their couch too.

Always that I read an history about Couchsurfing I tell myself "I have to try this!". Well, now is the moment. I am willing to meet new people around the world and open my mind much more.

I think that Couchsurfing is one of these things that has been created for revolutionize the world. A few years ago it was impossible to think that this type of hosting in exchange for company, culture and laughter (the most important in my opinion) was possible. It was thought that everything outside of our houses was dangerous. Luckily, we are opening our minds.

While I write this I can not stop thinking about everything that I will live thanks to this great platform and I get so very nervous! I can't stop looking at my backpack hahaha.

Interests

The truth is that I am interested in almost everything. I really like learning and discovering new things.

My hobbies are, snowboarding, cars and starting business…, but what really define my self is that I really love to travel. “I´m a travel junkie”.

My favourite movie is 21 Black Jack.

I really enjoyed with Prison Break, Lost and Breaking Bad!!

I listen R&B music.

My favourite book is "The Four Hour Week - Tim Ferris" (This book changed the way I see life, without exaggerating).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll just say one sentence: I jumped on parachutes. I recommend it to everybody! That feeling of floating at 4000 meters at 200kmh.

I can teach you how to cook the famous Spanish potatoes omelette (My mother's exclusive recipe hahaha)

I am traveling with a 28 liter bag... I haven't many things to share hahaha
