About Me
I love to explore and learn. I value genuine relationships. Adventures are my favorite.
I started traveling in SE Asia when I joined an organization called Youth With A Mission. After coming back to the US, I started taking classes with the Harvard Extension School. I'm a science geek at heart, but my studies focus on world religion and writing.
As ironic as this might be, I'm an introvert. I enjoy getting to know people, but it can also feel a little overwhelming. But I think it's worth it to sit down with new people, hear their stories, and understand other world-views.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy cultures, history, and people. Couchsurfing is a great avenue to explore all of these things while traveling. It's much better to understand a nation and culture by experiencing it with locals, not with hotels and tourist traps. Also, I would gladly sit and have a beer with a new friend, but I am not a typical 20-something partier. So I would not like to go to a club or disco to go drinking and stay out all night.
Interests
Hiking! I love being on any sort of adventure. I like science, animals, music, food, and friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
With YWAM I worked in India, Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia. In these countries, my teams provided food, education, emotional support, and even entertainment to people in cities, slums, and villages
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to be an English teacher in Thailand. So I can teach English. I also love to talk about God, morality, and all those other things that are deeply important to us (except for politics).
I can cook delicious food! But I understand people might just want me too cook hamburgers and fries because I am American :)
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Germany, Mexico, Myanmar, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
