Laugh, love and live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people is fun, but especially I believe our basic needs should be covered, so offering food and accomodation is the most basic form of solidarity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One sunny day I was hitch-hiking with a friend in Cyprus. A guy took us from Morphou to Nicosia in his car. The communication was a bit difficult at the beggining because we didn't speak Turkish and he didn't speak English, but we ended up talking in Greek!
After a while we realized that he was just taking us to Nicosia out of kindness, because he had not intended to go in that direction. But, what was really striking was the end of the story...
he left us in the crossing (yes, Cyprus has a border and passport controls) and before saying good-bye and good luck he gave us a present: 3 kg of wonderfully sweet Cypriot mandarines.
Then, I realized some people are kind. And I couldn't help crying.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spend a lot of time cooking and talking about food.
I can teach you how to make a flogger out of inner tubes.
I can also recommend books and articles. I know "a bit of everything", which makes me a good conversersationalist not well versed in any particular field.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely cook at your place (only vegetarian or vegan food)

Countries I’ve Visited

Finland, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Estonia, Greece, Hong Kong, Spain
