About Me
Hi, my name is Amber! I teach English in South Korea and am an avid traveler! I love exploring new places and meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that staying in hotels and hostels removes you from the places that you're visiting. Staying with local people helps a traveler get a better sense of the culture and day-to-day life of a place, and isn't that what travel is all about? I'd love to share my little Korean town with others, and in exchange be able to explore new places as well!
Interests
I love animals, and back home I spent lots of time riding horses. In Korea I love to read, drink coffee, go hiking, eat awesome food, travel, hang out with friends, and play frisbee. I'm also starting Tai Chi next week which might be a disaster but we'll see.

Music, Movies, and Books
That's like asking someone to pick a favorite child! I love all different kinds of music, but I'd have to say my favorite is the all mighty Frank Sinatra.
I'll read absolutely anything but Harry Potter and A Tale of Two Cities have special places in my bookcase.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked through the jungle and fields of rice paddies to swim in a hidden waterfall in Sumatra!
Teach, Learn, Share
The goal of travel I would say! I love talking with people I meet on trips and learning from them. You never know who you'll meet or what you'll learn, and that's the beauty of travel and makes each place you visit memorable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to learn! I'm open and friendly, and I love learning about new places. I'm adaptable and I live very simply. I love swapping stories and talking about things that matter over cups of coffee!
