Overview
About Me
Hey there!! My name is Amaziah, I’m a 21 year old Canadian University student studying Criminal Justice in the hopes of one day studying law. Although i’m born and raised in Canada - I’m actually ethnically Ethiopian and have adopted much of my identity from my Ethiopian heritage. I’m a young traveller seeking to see the world and create relationships on the way - I’m currently on a 2-month solo backpacking trip around Europe, and I hope to grow in the CS community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Choosing my favourite is quite difficult, but these artists would be some that I really enjoy:
- Billy Joel
- Coldplay
- Asap Rocky
- Queen
As for movies I do love Chris Nolan (as everyone should). I especially like his less talked about movies like Memento and The Prestige. I’m also a big fan of Pulp Fiction.
For books I really like “The Alchemist.” I’m trying to get a bit more into reading and would love some recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Last year me and my friends wanted to go see coldplay perform in Vancouver during their “Music of the Spheres” tour. We bought concert tickets and flight tickets but didn’t really plan anything out. We landed at a neighbouring city and hitchhiked to the city-centre. We then attempted to sleep at a 24hr gym where we are members but they unfortunately kicked us out. We then rented a Uhual moving van and slept in there for a couple nights. It was a great memory and I got to see my dream concert at the end!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m very into Theology and Church History (but i guess not many people are into that). I also love discussing movies, politics, etc. I like to think of myself as someone that can engage in a plethora of conversations gaining mutual knowledge and worldview.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences and points of view with hosts as well as a friendship. I hope to have a lasting friendship with my hosts and maybe they could come to Canada and stay with me.
