About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel and learn as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a down to earth person who is interested in just about anything and enjoys good conversation. I love to meet new people, hear their stories, listen to their experiences and hopefully make new experiences together! I love anything that is different or unique and discovering new and fun things! Traveling is one of my passions and it has shaped the person I am today. I love going to different countries to experience their true culture and local life, not just the famous touristic places. I can also be found taking a chance and going down an unmarked road or making my own road, a place where not many people tend to visit ... that feeling of adventure is amazing. During those times, I learn so much and discover what life is really like in a certain place!
I love to connect with people and find things that give us common ground and establish lasting friendships.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest keeping a positive attitude toward people and things, doing things that are true, honest, noble and upright. Sometimes we may have to go against what society teaches and promotes and stand up for what is right. We can compare ourselves to a salmon trying to jump water falls. There's a giant water fall cascading over some rocks, and the salmon must swim upstream, so it moves powerfully and forces itself out of the water to jump up and continue pushing against all the pressure. Sometimes the world can be like that water fall, and the pressure of society, families and life in general can be difficult. At this time, we need to find the strength and power inside of us to move powerfully and push through all this stuff that we are dealing with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a lot and hosted many people. Almost everyone I encountered on this journey has been super awesome. Certainly overall, the couchsurfing experience has been a very positive one. I try to encourage others to participate in making our global village one!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most any kind of movies (except scary ones and really gross killing and bloody ones!)
Usually, I enjoy non-fiction movies and books alike. Watching or reading about a true story always catches my interest.
When it comes to music, I have to say I love gospel music, among other Christian genres, I enjoy classical from time to time, most old school music and easy listening genres... finally, i'm a BIG jazz fan!!!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All I can say here is the one amazing thing I've done is I've lived my life - and continue to live!
I have had so many wonderful, amazing and truly positive experiences in my life that I can't choose one over the other. When we meet though, let's have dinner and talk about the amazing things we both accomplished in life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know through couch surfing you may be able to stay in people's homes for "free" and that certainly reduces the stress on budgets and finding hotels, etc ....... but I think if you only do that you are missing out and don't understand the spirit of couch surfing! I would love to learn as much as I can about my surfer/host, his or her country, their hometown and their family. It does not matter how much knowledge we have or how many experiences we have, but what really matters is how much we care for and respect other people. When people know they are cared for and genuinely respected, then a strong friendship can begin and a special bond can be formed.
What can I teach? Well... maybe I can teach you a few chords on the piano? Or a little bit about photography? Or how to cook a simple dish or bake a simple cake? Let's see how it goes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever is in my house is what I can share with my hosts. I want my hosts to be as comfortable as possible, so I usually tell them when they arrive to make themselves at home, whatever is in sight they can use and whatever they may need that I don't have, we can easily get.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, China, England, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Northern Mariana Islands, Philippines, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
