ABOUT ME

I grew up on a farm in Eastern Iowa. I attended Iowa State University in Ames where I earned a B. S. in Psychology and many cultural learning experiences that I still carry.

After college I took a two-year adventure out west where I worked seasonally at various resorts. I returned to Iowa in the fall of 2010 to find new appreciation in life here. I love plants/gardening, food/cooking, and adapting my activities to the seasons and weather.

I am very easy-going, neat, conscientious, and polite. I am also goofy and like to have a good time.

I love hearing live local music wherever I go! Iowa has an abundance of great bands.

Favorite books include Refuge by Terry Tempest Williams, The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende, and The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.

Lived to age 31. Crossed the Great Basin a total of four times by myself in my '97 Honda Civic.
