CURRENT MISSION
To share Language, Music and Culture
ABOUT ME
I am an ESOL/EFL teacher with a background in French, Spanish and Linguistics at York University. I currently live in Nottingham.
PHILOSOPHY
Music is an international language.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I look forward to being able to host again, as I have enjoyed it in the past. However, I do not have a couch to surf at the moment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started out hosting with an old girlfriend and really enjoyed it. However it's the people that I have met through hosting and surfing that have really made a difference.
Interests
Music, film and art from around the world. I love learning languages and cooking.
I'm really into music production and writing, and spent a good proportion of the first two years of my undergraduate degree working at the university radio station, known as ((URY)). On my radio show - Front-ears, I have interviewed musicians such as Manu Chao, Buena Vista Social Club and Eddy Grant. When I worked as a teaching assistant in Digne-les-Bains, I regularly would hitch to Manosque to present in French on the local station - Fréquence Mistral. I enjoyed doing projects such as simulcasting the show between the UK and France and getting my French students to preset in English
I'm very much into travelling, and I'd love a chance to meet many new people, especially while I'm in Nottingham. So keep me posted, especially if you'd like a language exchange in any of the languages that I speak.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything Almodóvar, Léon, Amélie, Heathers, L'apartment, Taxedermia;
All manner of music, maybe your favourite artist could be my next great discovery;
Essays on language at the moment, will think on this, as I've read a few blinders in the past few years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Riding Dør Nr. 13 in Tivoli Gardens (imagine "Kingdom" as a ride) - a rude awakening to the Scandinavian sense of humour.
- Picking olives in a family friend's groves in As`Salt in Jordan, overlooking Palestine.
- wondering through Chefchaouen and its beautiful blue architecture.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you really want to improve your English, I have learned and created some great methodologies and will enjoy helping you to develop your skills in the language more quickly;
I would like the same for my L2s: French, Spanish, German and Arabic;
I will share a play on words, most probably, I love to cook. Share with me your philosophies and passions
