Overview
About Me
I am called Ambelu meaning Captain in English. I am a very easygoing person with a lowkey manner. I am also pretty friendly. I graduated from the University of Gondar, Ethiopia recently in the department of Tourism management.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is not new in Ethiopia. It was there a long time ago but differently. It was called God's guest. In ancient times, when people go out of their usual environment, they used to seek out somewhere to stay. They would go to someone's house and say 'God's Guest' at this time the host would welcome and give shelter and food without expecting anything from the guest assuming he is God's guest. So I am trying to keep up our hospitable culture and I believe meeting new people from the 🌎 through Couchsurfing is as exciting as that is. It is so crucial to get new cultural experiences from different folks. I assume it is the best and easiest way to unearth the culture and people in Ethiopia 💗❤🍀🇪🇹.
