This account is shared for myself and my boyfriend. My name is Amber and my boyfriend is Cory. We are two novice travelers from California seeking cultural experiences abroad. Currently we are both studying at Universities in California. We pursue knowledge and an understanding of life from perspectives of others.

We are new to couchsurfing and have not built a reputation amongst the community yet. It is our plan to travel and stay with hosts to show them we are humble, proper guests who enjoy learning and life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a cultural phenomenon linking people together who seek cultural experiences. We are seeking travels around the world from a cultural perspective, rather than a touristic experience. Because we are University Students we travel on a small budget. Couchsurfing offers the best traveling opportunity; inexpensive travel and more importantly, people to share in our traveling experiences.

Together we know English and Spanish and can translate or communicate between the two languages. We are willing to learn just about anything from new languages and cultural values to just anecdotes about friends.

We can offer hosts great company and open minds. Conversation and shared experieces are under valued, but we value both. Sharing these aspects of life with people around the world is a treasure, not just to our hosts, but to us as well.
