About Me

🏳️‍⚧️ 🍉

Finally, after many years; I can say for certain that I'm a potential host!

!Important! Please do read to the end to understand my home. I don't need something specific in your message but I do need to know that you understand the place you are requesting to stay in!

Pronouns: they/he. Leftist traveller, hitchhiker, dumpster diver. My room will be a safe space for queerdos especially. Likewise, if you have had a problem with a host making you uncomfortable I will do my best to emergency host you.

I was a couchsurfer for a long time, I'd like to get to know you but if you're totally burnt out from enjoying nomad life too much I'll also understand. I'm not really a partier anymore although sometimes I can be convinced to go to a club with you. The clubs are not really underground anymore (some even take government funding!) But if you're here in the right time I might be able to show you some underground or grassroots stuff.

I don't like to list hobbies and interests because I sound like I'm writing a CV. I'm a nice person, I promise. Also swimming, karaoke, or bar hopping and being chaotic gremlins is always a way to unfreeze my cold dead heart. By the way I'm not german, I'm from England. If you want to experience german culture I am not your guy

Important: the house is a leftist housing project in Berlin. "Housing projects" are ex squats basically, some converted with more legality and security than others. There is our own punk bar below, a club opposite, and in the summer a load of drunk punks simply use the space outside the door as their own personal meeting point. My room is facing the street - IT IS LOUD lol. A lot of people live here but it doesn't feel that different to any normal flat share. Please don't take photos in the house. Please think about if your views really align before applying to stay - no cops, racists, sexists, queerphobes etc. As Beyonce would say: to the left to the left.

Prefer 2 maximum 3 nights.

BTW, also better not to request to stay more than a week in advance. I am not german and therefore it is OK for me to be a little Spontan ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed for a long time. Even if there's only a little bit of the OG couchsurfing spirit left on this website, I like to try and keep it going. I like meeting new people, and I like tourists (especially in Berlin- their hearts are still full of joy)

Interests

I really like fish (as in actual, living fish that I can see in the water). I like bugs and reptiles too. Bouldering is fun but I'm very out of practice. Swimming keeps me sane. I have a mermaid tail, which is embarrassing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing thing I've seen is a blue whale 🐋. I've seen so many amazing views, bodies of water, and some cool bugs too.
Nothing i've done is amazing, just part of living. I think it's cool that I moved from a big city to a random Czech village when I was 21. I've lived in Taiwan and Taiwan is fantastic. I've hitchhiked the balkans alone, surviving on very little money (because I'm a disorganised mess).

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Czech Republic, England, Taiwan
