Hello couchsurfers and hosts!
Avid traveler, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Served time in the US Army as a combat medic. Rescue diver, PADI. Traveling is a priority, and is my lifestyle. I bought a one-way ticket to Hawaii, been living there ever since.
Im a very "in the moment" type of person, I dont really like to plan that far ahead, or worry about things I cant control...pretty laid back. As far as stateside, Ive lived in Baltimore, Atlanta, South Beach Miami, Yosemite area Ca, San Antonio, and now Kona. Internationally, Ive lived in Koh Tao Thailand for a couple years, as well as Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The toxic city life is just not for me. Living life to the fullest is definitely a motto I live by!

I love meeting new people and networking, enjoy learning different cultures, and taking in all the world has to offer! Sharing knowledge and leaving my comfort zone is what I live for. I enjoy making lasting connections with an array of personalities and trying new things... And food! Couchsurfing appeals to me in many ways..what better than a local to give some advice when staying in a new place! I dont like traveling week to week, I prefer to stay in one spot long enough to really get a feel for where I am. I enjoy traveling alone, its easier to meet people, and you're on your own time. Will I ever stop moving around? Probably not. But if I do buy property, I would be living off the grid!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I volunteered as a first responder to a local disaster relief group (DRAW) after some of the strongest tornados on record tore through the state of Oklahoma, flattening many cities. I drove one of 3 donated church vans, hauling about 45 people across the midwest, from Michigan to the town of Moore. We helped search through debris, recover valuables, and clean up what was left of these peoples lives. I sat and listened to some of the most tragic stories I've ever heard, it was truly heartbreaking. This was a very humbling experience and I believe we all made a huge difference in the residents' lives.

I really want to learn more languages! I would also eventually like to be a self sustained traveler without having to come back home for work.
In general, I am low-maintainence and make do with whatever options I am given. Constantly adapting. Not big on complaining... I try my best to take on new surroundings with ease. I maintain, and promote, an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
I really would like to network and meet like-minded individuals who seek similar things in life. Materials come and go, and not all knowledge can be taught. Experiencing things I cannot read about and seeing things for myself are very important to me.

All in all, I am about being truly alive... and ultimately reaching my full potential as a human being. Money is obsolete. The things I seek can not be bought. I am not on a physical journey, moreso than a spiritual one.
