ABOUT ME

About me! Well I am a kiwi girl and my dream has always been to travel the world. It has taken a while but now I am finally pursuing my dreams! It has taken me to all sorts of places around the world, some places I used to just dream about, until I realised that you can do anything you set your mind too no matter how crazy it may seem!

My passion is animals and nature, so I tend to base a lot of my travels around that. The best part is the wacky interactions and surprises you meet on the way! It makes you feel alive and really remember what is important in life. Some of the happiest people I have met literally have nothing, and they still want to give and help you along the way. They know whats important in life, and a lot of people could learn from this sentimentality.

PHILOSOPHY

To live by love and happiness. We don't need a lot to survive, but we do need love and connections with people. Everyone can make a difference everyday even if it's just helping a stranger find the right train home. Just living in the present and living for today is so crucial. Its never too late to follow your dreams. Always have dreams no matter how crazy they may seem, and never let anyone tell you, you can't do something. We make this life what it is, so why not follow your heart and really embrace what this world has to offer?

I live for working and helping animals. Too many animals are suffering because of us. The connections you get from working closely with and helping animals is priceless, no money could ever buy that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am on couch surfing because for me it is definitely a better way to meet people and see how the locals live. I have met some fantastic people and had some experiences I would never have had if not for couch surfing. Its all about cultural exchange for me and sharing that zest for life.

兴趣

Working and helping with all kinds of animals is my main passion and interest. This is what really motivates me. I do a lot of volunteer work with all kinds of different animals such as working with wombats in Australia to helping at a elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai Thailand. I can never volunteer enough!!

Other interests I have are reading, having a laugh with friends, cooking, playing in the mountains (mainly snowboarding!) and of course travelling!

I am keen to take on new things though, one being to take up a musical instrument...maybe a harmonica? who knows? tap dancing....the list is endless!

I have a lot of favourite films but to list a few....Snatch, Fight Club, Amelie, How to Train a Dragon (love disney and kid films), The Lord of the Rings, The Green mile the list goes on!

Music I like a mix really. Not that big a fan of country though! I really like my rock music eg. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Foo Fighters, The Queens of the StoneAge, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones you get the idea. Then I really enjoy my dance music, house music and alternative style music. I really enjoy music to motivate me !

Books i like a lot of fantasy books Eg Lord of the Rings, Philip Pullman, more magic and where the book takes you to different worlds. But then I like biographies a lot, like Anthony Kiedis out of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. True to life books and philosophies for life are really good to sink your teeth into too.

Hanging with the orangutans in Borneo!!! This was life changing for me and went beyond my wildest dreams! I cant wait to go back

Practical knowledge I think I can show people a few cooking things! I am sure i can discuss animals for hours on end and definitely recommend some excellent volunteer places to go to where your time is much needed!

I am always keen and open to learn new things! especially the key to life that people think they may have...
