About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience as much as I can, see the world, learn from the people I meet.
ABOUT ME
Facing life head on. I thrive on traveling and learn from the people I meet. I've traveled extensively in the United States but look forward to seeing the world. I quit my job at an ad agency summer of 2010 to travel and start my own business, making a go of it one day at a time.
My family, best friend and boyfriend mean everything to me. I love design, I'm a typography nerd and could spend days at a time in art galleries.
PHILOSOPHY
No fear. Seriously. It'll get you every time, just do your thing and happiness will come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted but my own travel and work schedule have caused me to have to close my couch temporarily. I'll be back though!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
September 2010 I traveled across the country visiting 19 cities in 30 days with my boyfriend. We stayed at hotels 2 nights, the rest of the month we were hosted in the homes of friends and strangers that are now friends. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
I've also hosted a short list of international travelers in my home in Buffalo. My first experience with couch surfing was as a host and I knew immediately it was something I wanted to do regularly.
Interests
Living. Sharing. Art, music, nature. I love gardening and cooperative living. Yoga. I'm an occasional runner - I don't do so well in the Buffalo winters. I love to cook for my friends and family. Sharing a glass of wine with my best friend is a perfect evening.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like taking in all sorts of media of all kind. I'm curious and open and inspired by a lot of different things. I didn't really come up in a scene, I like things that inspire me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm starting my own business. It's more challenging and fulfilling then anything I've done and uses every resource I have.
Teach, Learn, Share
I try very, very hard to live in the moment. I have goals and desires, but find I'm happiest here and now. I live for the times I can stop and be with someone, in the room, in the moment, see them, hear them and learn from them.
I've also seen and learned and know that life and relationships are fluid and transitional and that's healthy and ok. The struggle for permanence is futile and you shouldn't fear change.
I've been through a huge amount of transition in the past two years and share lessons I feel I've learned when I can. I'm open about what I've done - I spent 10 years with the person that's now my ex husband. He's still one of my best friends. We dissolved our marriage, I lived on my own for the first time in my life and worked hard to find my own person.
I've reinvented my relationship with him, left my job to travel for two months and start my own business, I'm selling my house and moving to a new place.
I've fallen in love again and try and find the courage to open myself to other people everyday what ever the risk may be. It's worth it.
I travel in life as far as I can physically and emotionally. I want to share my journey with others.
